One True Media

This is seriously the BEST site ever. I love it, and I find myself spending a lot of time on it. If you looove pictures like me, you will see why. You can make slideshows to music, and then order them onto dvd. I made one for my dad last Fathers Day. It turned out okay. He loved it. Tons of fun! I am working on one for each of my kids, and I did make one for Dave too. Here is the one I made for my dad...
Warning: there are some seriously scary pictures of me on here!

Rockettes

Every year my dad's family goes out to do something fun, like watch a play, or like this year we went to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. It was so much fun. We all met for dinner before, and then went to the show at the Dodge Theater. I really enjoyed being around everyone. If anyone is thinking about going to that show, GO! It is awesome. It left me wanting a pair of those legs! Wow.

Here is everyone after the show.

Happy Birthday "Nattie Noo"

Natalie is part turkey. This I know because she robbed us of Thanksgiving 2 years ago when she was born. This year, of course was Thanksgiving at my house, so I was super busy, so we didnt really have a real party for her. We just all knew it happened to be her birthday, and got her some presents to open. Dave and I got her her very own kitchen,

some dress-up clothes, and a princess cell phone. She got some princess dress up shoes from her aunt that she click clacks around the house in, and seeing how beautiful she looks in them, Colin has to wear them around too. Oh help me.
I should take pictures...I really should.
She also got this ADORABLE black Guess vest with fur around the hood from her Grandma Sam, and ballerina pj's too. From her Aunt Roxanne she got a little petshop set up thing, that she pretends to groom her little toy dogs in, it is hilarious how serious she is about it. She got some books from her Nan, she loves to read like her momma, and just a ton of really cute toys from everyone else. She made out good. I think with her being only 2, she isnt caring about having a full blown birthday party right now. I know she will care later, so that is fine, but for now, she just had her presents to open, and she was a happy clam. I am sure next year she will be more opinionated about it!
Here is a picture of her and her daddy when she was brand new.

We are Thankful

Thanksgiving turned out perfect. I volunteered to have dinner at my house. I cooked the Turkey (no it didnt blow up!)Stuffing, gravy and a cranberry concoction. I had everyone else bring the other food. Which all of it was wonderful! The guys played football in the street and the girls stayed in and played games. I ended up having 32people there. Everything was disaster-free, so I am happy. Of course I took pictures on MY camera, and silly me, cant do anything with them because we are using Daves laptop. Had I used his, the right program in on here to upload them onto here, but I wasnt really thinking at the time. So I will have to get them printed off, and scanned all all that fun stuff.

It can happen in your own driveway!

Tonight Dave and the boys thought it would be a good idea to start on the Christmas lights out front. So I was inside telling Colin that he needs to quit going in and out the front door and to just go out there and help his dad. Just as he walked out the front door, and heard a huge crash. I ran out the door to see a car in my yard and driveway smashed into MY NEW VAN!!! Dave said he saw her coming around the corner going pretty fast and lost control. She came up into our yard and took out the black garbage can and hit the van that slid across the driveway and hit the basketball hoop that hit the wall. Then, the passenger got out and YELLED at Dave! Like we did something! Dave is pretty hot tempered, but he did well containing himself.
The lucky part...Jakob was standing ON the base of the basketball hoop when he saw her and he jumped out of the way before he got hit. Dave grabbed Isaak who was leaning next to the van by the hood of his jacket just in enough time that the van hit Dave in the leg. Colin could have been out there on his scooter in the driveway like he was doing just 2 minutes before. I cant even think about that. Dave is pretty mad. The people turned out to be most likely illegal aliens with no insurance and no license of course. And lucky us, they happen to live just 3 houses behind us.
The police just wrote her a ticket and let them walk home.
I am just thankful that the boys got out of the way in time. We havent had any car accidents since we've been together, and oddly enough it happened right in our own driveway. I guess that's the hazards of living on the corner! Dave did take some pictures, so after I figure it out on here I will post pics.

Just Pictures I Love!

I was just going through my photobucket pictures and thought I'd post some that I love. I like seeing how much my kids have changed, and stuff...So here are some of my favorites.

How can you not laugh at Colins goofy face?

Colin was FINALLY letting me take his picture...he looks so pleased!

Tony and Isaak. He was so happy to see him after we hadnt seen him for awhile.

Colin LOVES pickles...even with chocolate!

I have about 10 of these pictures of us making silly faces...but Jakobs face in this one is the best!

This one was supposed to be a NICE one...

My daughter(part goat)chewing on my dads shoelaces.

Moving on to bigger and better things...just give her the whole shoe!

This is actually Jakob...How I found him one morning minus his diaper, and his shirt on the back reads "dont bug me". Im hanging onto this one for later pal!

Natalie's blessing day

Colin and my moms dog. Colin is a big animal lover. I'm not sure if the animals love him though!

That is it I guess.. I might add more later. Once I get my other computer hooked up, I have more on there, but for now while I am using Daves laptop, I can only pull them off of photobucket. :)

Orthopedics-Not My Thing

So I was able to get Isaak an appointment today at a pediatric orthopedic specialist. After the doctor told me that he'd have to yank on his thumb a bit to get it back to where it is supposed to be I all of a sudden got really nauseous. He did give us an option to go to the hospital and get an IV to numb his arm a bit, but that would take a few hours to do. So I talked Isaak into being tough, and just letting him yank at it for a couple minutes, and I'd be right there by his side. I managed to pull myself together while he did this, and just held Isaaks other hand, and closed my eyes real tight. The room got really hot and stuffy, and I found myself locating the nearest trash baskets. The doctor snapped that thumb right back in place, and it all went downhill from there. I sat back in the chair quick and put my head down. I managed to be okay while he casted it up. The nurses kept asking if I was okay, and me trying to be brave and hold it all in just gave them a thumbs up and continued to be miserable with my head down there talking myself out of anything my body wanted to naturally do! When it all was done I was listening to the doctor tell me how to take care of it, and then those pots and pans started clanging in my head, my face went numb, and down I went! I fainted! Luckily the doctor caught me before I hit the ground. I woke up to him rubbing my sturnum,(I guess that is how you would wake one up) and the nurses putting cold washcloths on my head and neck. The scariest part is when I finally came to, I had no idea where I was. I layed there for a good 5 minutes trying to figure out what was going on. Poor Isaak was mortified! I had to lay there on the little bed until I was good enough to drive home! Isaak told me that I am NOT allowed to go to his follow up appointment! He doesnt have to worry about that! Isaaks thumb is okay now that it is back in place, Once this nice headache goes away I will take a picture of him and his new cast. I dont know what was wrong with me! I did fine watching them stitch up Jakes chin, but the whole bone breaking thing is just not up my alley!

Another Football Injury

Well, I KNEW we couldn't possibly end the year without Isaaks turn at a trip to the ER! Yes, at practice tonight, Isaaks thumb was not where it was supposed to be after tackling the runningback. We thought at first it was just dislocated, but after some x-rays, it shows it is broken! (I'll spare the pictures for the weak stomached) They couldnt even put it back in place either! The poor thing has to wait to see an orthopedic surgeon! Whats worse is that it is his right hand. So that means no writing at school either! I am going to let him stay home from school tomorrow since his thumb is still bent funny and he is in a bit of discomfort, plus he is pretty loopy from the Lortab. Hopefully I will get that appointment on Friday. Their last bowl game is on Saturday, and he wont be able to play at all. So that is it for Isaak Rays football season! Out with a bang.

Here is a picture I just added in of Isaak at his last game...not playing of course. :(

Survey thingy

1. Where did you meet your husband? Oddly enough, we met online. Then we met for real at Freestone park, where I took the boys who were at the time only 2 and a half and 1.

2. What is the first thing you said to your husband? Probably just "hi" I am pretty shy when it comes to anything like that, so I probably clammed up and blushed.

3. Where was your first date? Well, we didnt really go on a date, we met at Freestone Park where we let the kids play a little, and then we took them to McDonalds nearby to let them run some more. That is where Jakob decided to completely embarrass me by pulling down his pants and going to the bathroom right there in the parking lot! I have never seen him do that before, so I was a bit shocked. I dont think Dave ever stopped laughing. He knew I was mortified!

4. Where was your first kiss? He met me over at my moms house where I was at a nearby little park with the boys. He blew me away with how good he was with the kids. I dont think he saw it comin!

5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement? Funny story. We broke up to date other people since I had only dated him since my divorce. We were apart for nearly 8 months, when I started dating someone else and eventually got engaged to him. I told Dave I was engaged, and aparantly he didnt think that was a good idea, cuz he begged me like crazy that if I wanted to get married to marry him. Since I wasnt 100 percent sold on marrying the guy I was with, I gave him back the ring, and got back together with Dave. He then not less than a week later came to pick me up from work, and asked me to marry him with a ring, and we took off the following weekend to Laughlin and got hitched. So really I was officially engaged for about 5 days.

6. Where did you get engaged? Uhhh, in my car by the mall!

7. Where did you get married? Laughlin, Nevada

8. How did your reception go? Since I already had a big wedding before, I was okay with eloping.

9. THE HONEYMOON...We had kids at home waiting for us to get back, so we just stayed the weekend up there and came home.

10. Who's turn is it next? Jessica, Cherish, and Tara.

Wheres my camera?!

Well, I do realize that I have some catching up to do, and the sadest part is that I havent taken any pictures! We have moved into our new house, and love it so much. I will take pictures of it when I get everything together and unpacked.
We had a busy kinda hit-us-when-we-werent-looking-Halloween. We moved in the new house that weekend right before Halloween, and did a day before "quick! put the decorations up!" and then an "oh yeah, Colin and Nat dont have costumes yet" thing. Complete craziness I tell ya. So my favorite holiday was partially ruined! I am usually good at picking costumes, or making them a good month before, but packing and going through stuff didnt help. Bad time to move! So last minute, Jake and Isaak saw me panicking, and told me they'd looove to be football players this year! Whew! Thats easy enough! And for Natalie I found an adorable witch costume at Target, and Colin who is anti-costume I talked into wearing Isaaks ninja costume from a couple years back, much against his wishes of course. Forget the costume! Give me the candy! Yeah, he has it figured out! Natalie finally figured out that she gets candy going from house to house, and soon she didnt want to be held anymore, she wanted down to run! It was a tiring night. And of course amongst the boxes and furniture I couldnt find my camera! I took some on my camera phone, but thats it. Oh well. Next year will be better!
Dave hired Jon onto his work, for just s few months until Jon gets shipped down to the border to help with border control. I guess it takes awhile to get things like that going, and he can only go at certain times, so for now he is following around Dave, and hanging off the edges of the 30 story building.
Here is a picture of the buildings he is building. The only difference now it that the tower on the right is now taller than the one on the left.

Other than that, nothing else to report...OHH! YEAH! There is one more thing! Colin is now officially potty trained!!! Meaning we can actually leave the house in underwear! YIPPIE! This has been the most difficult child to train, he was so stubborn. Now I have to wrestle him down to put a pull up on him for bed time. He insists that he can hold it all night! Yeah right! He goes though 2 sippy cups a night! So that is my next battle. Natalie has shown interest in the potty, and has actually gone a couple of times, only because her potty chair sings to her when she does! I never thought it was going to be so hard to have babies so close together in age. Once I win a battle with Colin, I have to do it right again with Natalie. Its like it never ends.
