Our Anniversary

Saturday was mine and Daves 5th anniversary! He was so romantic and told me not to make any plans because he made them. Saturday morning I made him breakfast and then he took me shopping. He said all I needed was a nice dress, and some cute shoes. Then we dropped the kids off with Daves mom. He drove me up to Scottsdale to the Marriot at McDowell Mountains where he got us a sweet suite (haha) for the night.

We got dressed up there, and then we went to the Salt Cellar for dinner. The whole restaurant is underground!

That was the most amazing seafood I have ever tasted. They fly the food in daily from San Fransico or Maryland so it is fresh. I know what he means about fake seafood now! Wow! The rest of the night we ran around the hotel and checked everything out. They had a movie playing in the pool area where you can float around and watch it. So very cool. It was a nice night away, and he wins the most romantic husband award! ;)

Here is my lovely hair. Sorry I'm so cheesy for taking a picture of it in the mirror! Hehe!

Thanks babe for an amazing night, I had a lot of fun!

A Day in the Desert

We took the kids and Dave's sister and brother-in-law out quading in the desert this weekend. My dad was nice enough to loan us his quad so we could have three. It got a little toasty out there, the forecast said it was 106 degrees, and we sure felt it. Natalie has been very brave these days. She is usually scared of everything, but lately she has this brave streak in her that is scaring me! As soon as Dave had the quads in front of our house loaded up, she was on them playing. When I took her for a ride she kept yelling at me to go faster! Crazy girl! I cant believe it! I made a slide show since there were so many pictures..notice in one of those with me and her what a crazy big grin she has on her face. Hilarious!

Glass Slipper Fund Bank/Cute Signs

Here is my new craft of the "week". A piggy bank fit for a princess! I made one for Nattie, and she loves it. I am making these for $15 each. Let me know if you want one, or email me. Minder63@yahoo.com

My mom and I are also making these cute signs. All hand painted. These ones you can of course choose your color, and name for $35 including the little flowers or stars on the side.

We are also making these hand painted wall hangings for $25 each. We have many sayings you can choose from some examples are:
Children Loved Here
Grandchildren Loved Here
Always Kiss Me Goodnight
All Because Two People Fell In Love
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

Here is a picture similar as to how they look. You choose color and saying.

I also forgot to post awhile back that Dave and I made Natalie and Kaitlyn a bed over one weekend. It is like a loft bed (Kaitlyn sleeps up top) And Natalie has her toddler bed underneath inside the castle. It turned out cute. I am going to add some dark purple tulle curtains around the middle opening. Here is a picture of it. Don't mind Nattie's mess underneath! Anyway, I just wanted to show how cute it is turning out.

Busy Busy Weekend!

Our weekend was packed with fun and lots of stuff to do. Saturday was two of my nephews birthday, so we went to Paxton's first. I made a fruit waterfall for my sis-in-law. And Colin and Nattie went swimming. (Which is a rare thing because they have both been so scared of the water their whole life)

Then we rolled over to Matthews birthday party. (Tony's son)

After that Dave took me to Red Lobster, so he could humor me by "choking down the fake seafood" (He is from Maryland, so he knows what the really good stuff tastes like) Oh, and on Friday after work, we went and got my front load washer to match my dryer we got a couple months ago. It will be delivered tomorrow, I am actually pretty excited. My dryer works great, it dries really fast. I cant wait to see how the washer does. I know it saves a ton of water. It uses only 15 gallons a load as compared to the top loaders that use 45 gallons a load! Never thought I'd be so excited for a washer and dryer, but hey, I guess that means I am officially old. ;)

Hummingbird Nest

I have seen a hummingbird come around for quite awhile, and now there is a little nest in our lights on our patio. I grabbed the ladder and my camera and got a picture of whats inside. There were two tiny eggs! Hopefully the eggs will hatch so I can get a picture of that too. I will keep updating. Any idea on how long it will take for these to hatch? The nest has been up there for about 4 days now. I am going to go get my hummingbird feeder and put it up to support my new little family I have here.

So I sat ouside on the swing and waited with my telephoto zoom lens for the momma to come home. I got a couple picures.
