Busy Busy Weekend!

Our weekend was packed with fun and lots of stuff to do. Saturday was two of my nephews birthday, so we went to Paxton's first. I made a fruit waterfall for my sis-in-law. And Colin and Nattie went swimming. (Which is a rare thing because they have both been so scared of the water their whole life)

Then we rolled over to Matthews birthday party. (Tony's son)

After that Dave took me to Red Lobster, so he could humor me by "choking down the fake seafood" (He is from Maryland, so he knows what the really good stuff tastes like) Oh, and on Friday after work, we went and got my front load washer to match my dryer we got a couple months ago. It will be delivered tomorrow, I am actually pretty excited. My dryer works great, it dries really fast. I cant wait to see how the washer does. I know it saves a ton of water. It uses only 15 gallons a load as compared to the top loaders that use 45 gallons a load! Never thought I'd be so excited for a washer and dryer, but hey, I guess that means I am officially old. ;)

Hummingbird Nest

I have seen a hummingbird come around for quite awhile, and now there is a little nest in our lights on our patio. I grabbed the ladder and my camera and got a picture of whats inside. There were two tiny eggs! Hopefully the eggs will hatch so I can get a picture of that too. I will keep updating. Any idea on how long it will take for these to hatch? The nest has been up there for about 4 days now. I am going to go get my hummingbird feeder and put it up to support my new little family I have here.

So I sat ouside on the swing and waited with my telephoto zoom lens for the momma to come home. I got a couple picures.

Natalie and make up

Whenever I am in the bathroom doing my make up Natalie is right there next to me begging for some "lips". So I put some lipgloss on her, and he oo's and ahh's at herself and then runs off. Today I didnt notice her snatching up my mascara and running off with it. She came back in the room with it all over her eyes. It was so cute that she knows where it goes. She actually got some on her eyelashes! I have a feeling I am in trouble with her! Last week when we went to the mall she was begging me for some new "naanoo's" (sandles) Now she is into my make up! Hmm..maybe it is good that I only have one girl?

Teenage Tag

1. If you could go back and tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be?
I would tell myself that it would be alright NOT to have a boyfriend every waking second of the day, and to just enjoy being with my friends, and be more involved in stuff at school.

2. Did you do any extra curricular activities in high school?
I was in choir 3 hours of the day one year, and I also was in dance too. I was too scared to try anything else.

3. What did you do with your free time?
Probably hung out with Teresa, and went galavanting everywhere.

4.What is the coolest thing you did as a teenager?
I think just hanging out with my good friends until wee morning hours. We werent up to mischief, it was just fun times.

5. Did you have a boyfriend in high school?
Always. I dont think I was ever "single". I dated one guy (Jake and Isaaks dad) on and off for the most of high school, and about 5 or 6 other boyfriends scattered in there as well. Lovely.

6. Songs that come to mind:
We mostly listened to Offspring, Bloodhound Gang, White Zombie, Live, Matchbox 20, lots of different stuff, I cant pick just one song.

7. If you could change one thing, what would it be?
To knock it off with the stupid boyfriends all the time. I wish I was single and just dated a bunch of different people.

8. What did you think you would be when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a mom, but I wanted to be a plastic surgeon too. LOL...decisions decisions.

9. Picture of self-
Here is one I think of me going to homecoming.

Here is me and my brother after one of my choir concerts.

10. Craziest thing you did in high school.
Dressed up like a cow maid for some Halloween dance...stupid stupid stupid.

Aaand then next 3 lucky people that I am tagging to do this is...Brandi Watkins, Angie Rich, and Mary Lee.

Evidence..

That two toddlers live here. They leave things here, and stack things there. I have found all sorts of interesting things, and today I was thinking how fast it goes by. Just yesterday it seems like I found Jakob under the table with a pack of Kool-Aide mix all over. Or Isaak fishing my cell phone around in the toilet..Yeah, somedays I feel like running out the door screaming, but soon enough they will be grown up and gone. No more messes. (which cant be a bad thing) and no more odd things in my cupboards. I went around the house a documented such things, because one day I wont be following them around picking up. Boy, is it obvious that two wild-eyed toddlers live here!

Then much to my surprise..(not really) The boys were sweet enough to give Natalie some of their after school snack. She was in love. She ate two helpings of chocolate pudding all by herself. (and yes... that is lotion in her hair!*sigh*)

Hollywood!

Dave and I had the chance to go out to go on a quick vacation to California. We went to Universal Studios, and then cruised around Hollywood Blvd. There was a lot of interesting things...and people to see. We had a great time. As usual I am not happy until the memory card is filledon my camera, so I have a ton of pics. These pics were taken from Daves camera instead of hauling the big camera around! There were a few times I sure wish I had it though...so here are some pics from our getaway!

Here is the hotel we stayed in.

Here is the Hollywood Sign

Here is me on the red carpet in front of the entrance

It was kinda foggy the whole time, but there was the best view!

This is Whoville where they filmed The Grinch that Stole Christmas

This was by far the most amazing sight to be seen there. This was part of the set from the movie War of the Worlds. There was a crashed 747 in the middle of a neighborhood. They said it cost them $60,000 to buy the plane, and $200,000 to wreck it.

We then went to Hollywood Blvd. to check out some sights there.
