Kid-Free Camping!

Daves parents invited up up to Mormon Lake this past weekend to have a quiet relaxing time. Boy, after the past two weeks we've had..we needed it! My cousin Christine came over and spent the night with the kids, and Dave and I drove up there to join his parents. I was surprised that it was only a 2 hour drive to get out of this heat. As soon as we got there, Dave and I took off on the quads, and explored the forest. We came across the start of a forest fire, and rode back into town to get the firemen up there. It was pretty sweet, they were totally grateful that we came and got them. It looked like someone dumped their charcoal out of their grill in the middle of the woods, and left. They even left the grill behind! So naturally the coals caught the ground on fire, and it spread out about 10 feet when we found it. I didnt take that many pictures of our trip, but got some.

Guess who had to push him out of this pickle! Boys...*sigh*

A Summer Cool-Off Adventure

My aunt invited us to go with her to the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess Hotel this past weekend. We got a beautiful room (I wish I took pictures of it!)We hung out in the pool and watched a concert. It was a very nice night. The kids had a lot of fun swimming, and playing with everybody. A BIG thank you to my cool Aunt Roxanne for doing this for us.

A Room Fit for a Princess!

Natalie got her own room finally. Earlier that week, she was carrying around a Kohl's magazine that we got in the mail, because it had a picture of this bedroom in it that was pink and decorated so cute. So Dave and I decided to surprise her with a pink room. We went to Home Depot and got the paint, and spent that night painting until it was done. It is VERY pink! It glows down the hallway! So with her pink room, she needed a sheet/comforter set for her bed. We took her to go pick one out, and she picked a (big surprise) Tinkerbell one. I still have to hang her pictures up on the walls, but you can get the idea of just how pink her room is!

Jakob's Blanket

Jakob has had this raggety old blanket since he was brand new. He wont let me toss it, and he sleeps with it every night. We poke fun of him about it, but he doesnt care. He loves his blankie! Hahaha..

Kya's Spider Bite

Kya got this awful bite, and I am pretty sure it looks like a black widow bite. We had to put a t-shirt on her to make her stop itching it.

The Heat Is On!

Today our poor neighbors house burnt down. No one was hurt, in fact the neighbors have been gone on vacation or something for awhile now. I can't imagine their surprise when they get home to their bbq'd house. It is a total loss, including the boat and new car in the garage. Dave and I stood on the corner and watched the firemen in action. It was so hot out they were so miserable, and it seemed that the fire just got bigger and bigger. The temperature outside 4 houses down from the fire read 123 degress! Can you imagine just how hot it was if you were the one right in front of it? I got some good pictures of it in action.

**If you click on the pictures, they will get bigger, you can see more detail.**

My mom got some awesome pictures, and sent them to me.
